This competition is open to individuals who are citizens of South Africa or legal residents in South Africa during the period of the competition, with a valid ID or passport, aged 18 years and older.
This excludes any participants that are directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants of Adcock Ingram Limited and, their subsidiaries, holding companies, divisions and/or associated companies or of the advertising, promotion or sales agencies or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoters, or their spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners.
This competition is exclusive to the Republic of South Africa.
The competition runs for a 4 week period from 4th August – 1st of September 2023.
To enter and stand a chance to win, players need to participate in the Flip It! online game. Only the top 5 players on the leaderboard each week stand to win.
Each week, there will be a total of 5 prizes as follows. 1st place = R3,000 Takealot voucher, 2nd place = R2,500 Takealot voucher, 3rd place = R2,000 Takealot voucher, 4th place = R1,500 Takealot voucher, 5th place = R1,000.
Winners will be notified via email or SMS each week. The winners will be required to respond with relevant information to verify their identity, to claim their prize. Following three (3) unsuccessful attempts to make contact with a drawn winner(s) within a 72-hour period from initial contact, the prize will be awarded to the next eligible leaderboard position.
Prizes are not transferable and cannot be converted to cash.
Each game week runs from Friday 9am to the following Friday 9am. The leaderboard will be reset at the end of each game week.
The winners will be notified on Friday at the end of each new game week. Subject to verification. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winners will be requested to send a copy of their South African ID or passport for verification purposes.
Winners are not able to win more than once for this competition, and can only win up to one prize per person.
By entering, a Participant acknowledges that personal information about the Participant will be shared with the Company and their agents to the extent necessary to conduct the Competition and for prizes to be delivered to prize winners.
Adcock Ingram Limited reserves the right to shorten, extend, suspend the time period of the Competition or terminate the Competition whenever it should so choose for technical, commercial, or operational reasons, or for reasons beyond its control or generally for any reason whatsoever within their sole discretion. The Competition, its prizes, and terms and conditions may be amended by the Company, at any time during the Competition, and will be applied and interpreted within their sole discretion. In such an event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Company whatsoever.
Except as provided for in the Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008 South Africa, the judge’s decision on all matters arising out of the competition will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the competition and/or accepting the prize, entrants and winners hereby indemnify Adcock Ingram Limited, the organisers, their directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors from and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from participation in the competition, acceptance of the prize and/or participation (or non-participation) in a prize-related activity.
Adcock Ingram Limited reserve the right to substitute the prizes for an alternative prize of equal or greater value should the prizes promoted not be available due to unforeseen circumstances.
Adcock Ingram Limited will not be held liable for any entrant that provides incomplete or incorrect details and any technical glitches beyond its control.
All information relating to this competition and published on any promotional material shall form part of the terms and conditions of entry.
Adcock Ingram Limited reserve the right to withhold prizes in the event that they reasonably believe, in their sole discretion, that the winner is not eligible to win, has contravened any of these terms and conditions, has acted in a manner that is not in the spirit of the Competition, their conduct can be reasonably interpreted as scamming or circumventing the rules of the Competition, acted fraudulently with regards to the Competition, if it would be unlawful to award the prize or if the winner fails to accept the prize after 3 (three) attempts for any reason whatsoever. In this instance, the winner will be disqualified and forfeit the prize. The Company’s’ decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the competition, entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
The competition shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
